Many of you jailbreak users suffer from a common problem when you restart your iPhone, i.e. the phone gets stuck at the Apple logo during the boot process and refuses to start no matter how long you wait.
Sometimes people get nervous because of this and in attempt of fixing this, they end up doing serious damage to their phones, loosing their jailbreak and valuable data with no option left rather than to restore the phone via iTunes. Though, there is an easy fix now to this problem, which is to hold the “Power Button” and “Home button” together for almost 10 seconds and then let them go after the screen goes black and the Apple logo re-appears. Your phone will now boot normally as you just performed what we call a “Hard Reboot”.
In case, if you are still stuck at the at the Apple Boot logo (though it rarely happens), this can be caused by a Cydia tweak which you might have installed recently and is causing the problem. As we all know that recently Jay Freeman aka Saurik, released a new Mobile Substrate version 0.9.3997 which offered a fix to this problem. In this, if you are stuck at the Apple boot logo, just press the “Volume Up” key and you phone will boot into Safe Mode, through which you can uninstall the respective tweak causing the issue, and there you have it, problem is solved. Thanks a lot…I could come out of stuck logo w/o restoring and losing my data. I think I installed MiWi yesterday that could have caused this problem, not sure though.
