Apple just released iOS 6.1 for iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch. If you want to jailbreak your device stay out of it . Others you can also download the ipsw files and install it . For quick and simple installation just update the software over the air in settings – software update. Here comes the direct download links for iOS 6.1.

The links for GSM and CDMA for the iPhone 5 might be mixed up! Plz check it! Some sites say one things, others say the opposite. Don’t know whether to download 5,1 or 5,2 version for my GSM iPhone 5 in India.
Yeah! 5,1 is for GSM (both American version and International version) while 5,2 is for CDMA. Plz change it. Someone might flash it wrongly and mess up network connections. #corrections
All iPhone 5’s sold in India are “iPhone 5,2”. Confirmed this with iTunes. When I made iTunes to download the update, it started downloading “iPhone5,2_6.1_10B143_Restore.ipsw”. This is becoz the iPhones in India are the GSM+CDMA model A1429 (the same as the Verizon USA iPhones).
“iPhone5,1_6.1_10B143_Restore.ipsw” is only for AT&T customers in the USA and Canda. Others should go with “iPhone5,2_6.1_10B143_Restore.ipsw”
How did you check what file iTunes is downloading? As in the file name?
